For this Alaskan-themed, boozy race, teams of three costumed dogs (you and your friends) push a sled (shopping cart) to watering holes (bars), all the while avoiding obstacles which will cause your vehicle to flop (Cuba Gooding, Jr).

Carnivale, Beer Pong, Sombreros, and Paula Abdul

... Yeah, that title pretty much sums it up.

ARGH! This post is like a week late cuz I've been too busy. Let's play catchup shall we?

On Valentine's Day Matt and I ventured out forth into the city - and they were holding a Carnivale celebration at The Abbey which was pretty cool:
Altho the dancers did look a bit... Uhmm.... how to put this....
Mannish.

I know, I know, you think I'm being harsh.

Well, check out the expression of Exhibit A:
PRICELESS. Yes, you know what he's thinking.
"WTF IS THAT??!?!?!"
LMAO Click the pic to enlarge, it's worth it, trust me!
This next one is cute:
I love it when hobbits meet and get all lovey dovey.

I had to capture a pic of this next sign:
So naturally, I went home and changed... BOO!

Next up was Fiesta Cantina which featured everyone's favorite drunken pastime across the USA:BEER PONG! Yes, it's true, even in LA it's still a dope way to get tanked. G.
God, I'm so white.
My skin says "I REFLECT THE SUN! GRRRR!"
P.S. You don't wanna know what Matt did to get those beads.
P.P.S. I will tell you for $5, I'm really not a very loyal friend.
HE SHOOTS!
HE'S DRUNK!

Next up was Vince's bday party at ... where else? Paco's Tacos!! Yay!
Vince was a sport and wore not one but TWO Fiesta Birthday hats...

Unfortunately for Vince, I was there with a camera and I have internet access.
Robb: "OMFG I'm glad it's not MY birthday...."
Damn you LK! You look good in EVERYTHING!
"The girls love it! Try it Robb! They LOVES it!"
"We loves it! WHEEEEE!!"
"Mi Colonel Santiago un 14th Battalion... and mi last day en Mexico es tomorrow! Mucho kissy time, senorita!"*
*I learned Spanish from Dora The Explorer
DANGIT it didn't work!
One-arm group shot! Besides the usual suspects of Jules, Tanya, Ang, Robb, Kirst, Lisa, and of course bday boy Vince - my friends Helen and Joanne came! We ended up staying another few hours and shutting Paco's down. H&J were awesome and so fun to talk to, I've known Helen for 10 years(!!) but recently reconnected with her - she rules!
I had a 2nd dinner of Tortillas and Margaritas.... I'm a health nut, ya'll!

Saturday it was back to Hollywood for dinner and club hopping, I met Mike and LK for dinner at Bella Cucina, where we saw Paula Abdul with an entourage sitting behind us...
Nope, no Paula pic, I'm not rude! She was with her peeps and was talking on her celly the whole time... and EVERYONE asked me - was she drunk? High? Etc? And no, she seemed fairly sober...
For Paula.

Elated with our sighting, Mike and I immediately began texting everyone we've ever met:
My neighbor's cousin's dogwalker was like SO freaking impressed.

Mike and I hit up a ton of Hollywood hotspots like Katsuya, Geisha House (No real Geishas! Just skinny blonde actresses! WTF! False advertising!), S Bar (couldn't get in!), and Les Deux:
They were hosting an event for Pimp My Wheelchair and F-List celebs were there... I can't make this shit up, peeps.
Look kids! It's Evan Marriot of ... some shitty Fox reality show from 5 years ago!
Scraping the bottom of the celeb barrel....

I ended up meeting some fun people later that night:
And of course I don't remember their names, so from left to right:
Red, Choker Bangs, and FIERCE.
I know, I have mad skillz. Next was some fun people from Sweden, who TOTALLY spoke like the Swedish Chef:
Yahhh, sheborken shemjorgan derboten dah.
See you soon Heidi and Lars!
LOOK! They've gone Platinum!
Random ass display...
And of course the true sign it's LA - traffic is backed up and f***ed up at 2am! WOO HOO!

Psychedelic Drugs and Star Trek Mix

LOL! It explains a lot... great mix. :)

Happy Valentine's Day, bitches!

Damn you, Peggy. Damn you.

Indy's retirement trip

Hmmm... I'm not sure what to make of this. It's oddly edited and is it me or does Harrison seem a little old to be jumping around whipping things and flying through the air?
Maybe Calista keeps him young....

Midweek Dee-light

I have a few more fun photos, the weekend was great and so far the weeknights have been a blast as well! I can barely keep up with it all. :)

Monday I met up with LK and T to have dinner at Hal's on Abbot Kinney in Venice before he flies away for a few weeks... it was great! The dinner was dee-lish!

LK toasted the chef....
Trent high fived the chef....
And I was too busy stuffing my face with all the gourmet goodness to say a damn thing to a dude in white coat.

We'll miss T but I'm pretty sure he'll miss his #1 Aussie (sorry Kylie) and his fav "Freaky Man Giant". :)

Tonight I met BFF's Nancy and Heather along with the ever fab Angela & LK for dinner at Pink Taco, and we had a blast, lots of laughter (and no one was drinking!* I swear!), and super fun convo. It was like a rollercoaster of HAHA, ya'll.

*Angela is pretty much always drunk.
Oh yeah, I was also the one man with four ladies... I felt like a pimp till Nancy pointed out I spilled salsa on my pimp cane, then I just felt stupid.

Ironically, we ran into Trent with supercool peeps Danielle and Jean who I haven't seen since his bday party:
Small world! Even tho it's eery being followed, I still heart all my stalkers, so I took a photo of them.

Of course Angela and I had to do something silly, so we decided to recreate the Lindsay Lohan pic that's now infamous (in my head):See Linday's almost bored "take the pic and leave, nerd" look, and my "OMFG OMFG OMFG IT'S LINDSAY FREAKING LOHAN OMG SHE TOUCHED ME OMFG SOMEONE PINCH ME OMFG I THINK I JUST SHAT MYSELF" grin on my face.
The results pretty much speak for themselves. Same cheeky grin that's all teeth, and she mastered the "I'm so hawttt I'm bored" look. Oh Ang.

A few weeks ago we met The Gang(TM) at Tart @ The Farmer's Daughter:

It was a blast! It was the first meeting of The Gang(TM) with Corey and we all pretty much heart him. Plus in this pic you can see how stylish all our shoes are!

Last but not least... I found two photos from my Xmas Oregon trip I forgot to blog! The first is of everyone's favorite wolf dog Bast wishing me a safe flight with her sad face.... aww!

But cuter then a puppy, are my friends Tina and Jill and their adorable twins Jo and Cole. Not only are Jo and Cole Sears-Photo-Ads cute, they are also incredibly well behaved - I hope I can be as good a parent as they are one day! They are truly a wonderful happy, loving family, and it really shows. I only wish I saw them more often!

Well that's all, I can't believe it's only Tuesday... 3 more days of work? :(

Birthdays are better in three's

What a crazy week it's been! I worked my ass off during the week and did a lot of 12+ hour days... ugh.... but this weekend was so fun! I mobile-blogged some pics from the Superbowl party @ J&V's today, and will post some more pics soon - I FAILED and brought my camera without it's memory card. Hahaha!

Friday was so fun! Both of my LA gangs (dayumn, I'm so street ya'll) met up for a 3X birthday party at Glow Bar - yes, there really are cool places in Marina del Rey!
Here we see Trent hugging Angela (she paid him), Tanya hitting on Mike (pretty sure got his digits - sorry Robb), Paul and Corey looking stylish (they never stop), and LK chatting up with David. Oh, and Dao looking surprised. HI DAO! I like shouting things and then taking photos. You always get a great expression.
Good lord that was overly verbose. I'm making up for the writer's strike, ya'll.
Here was have The Amazing Miss Lisa - note our color coordinated outfits. Yeah, we call each other each morning. Don't hate.

Next up I was attacked by Pretty:
Yup, I survived.
Trent hates the papparazzi - IRONIC, I know. Don't get me started.

He did, however, decide to join Angela for our regularly scheduled Stalker Eyes (TM):
Yeah, it's scary as all shizz. I think the palm tree got kinda wilty.
I stalked them next - RAWWR! However the extra-special-guest-star Robb in the background wins - he's just in shadow enough to be scarier then Paula Abdul sans makeup.

Another group shot! Notice my super hawt diagonal camerawork. Yeah, it does indeed rizzock!

Happy Birthday LK!!! A prettier wife one could not ask for!
Dao and Julie listened to Robb's rendition of Stairway to Heaven. Who knew there was a 12 minute version? You rock dude (FWIW, he kicked ALL our asses in Rock Band today!)!
Also Vince on the right's bday is coming up but celebrated on Friday - HAPPY BIRTHDAY VINCE!!!
Me with Mike and the Trentster posing with a crane camera who happened to be in the area - oh wait, that's my Extendo-Arm(TM)!
Here we have superfly Dao and the lovely Julie who turned a ravishing 27! She rocked the Pashmina and then tried to get all street on me that night - it was cute.
Props to Robb who once again cameos in the background. Listen dude, you are cool but Stalker Eyes(TM) is sorta my thing.
Here's a cute pic - Mike, steal Kirsten and I'll hunt you down. Peace. ;)

Robb decided to back off Stalker Eyes(TM) and come up close:
Him and Tanya are hilarious!

So halfway into the night (and with nonstop revelers coming by to wish the Birthday Three HBD), our space started to get taken over by a bunch of people dressed up as doctors... Yeah, I know. Only in LA. So naturally I went over and became BFF's with them!
They were so damn funny! They all came out for their friend who just had knee surgery and show their support - by dressing up as doctors and hot nurses, of course. It's like Halloween in February! I so heart LA.
The nurse heard I had heart issues and started to give me an exam - in public no less!
The doctors didn't seem to mind (not to start rumors, but I think they were drunk...).

Naturally they had to give the birthday girl an exam:
But she didn't seem to mind.
Not sure what is happening here... close your eyes kids.
They determined she needed a shot - I think it worked!

The lovely Jennifer stopped by for a drink, who I found out is a nurse:
She tasted very nursey. That's a good thing.
Male nurses can be cool. That's my Blue Steel Tylenol, bitches.
That's my one-too-many-drinks-crazy-Magnum.
I always knew LK would hook herself a doctor.
LK and I with the worlds most famous power blogger couple! :D
Wait! Someone needs some spanking!
... Or something. Hahaha!

I met up with Paul, Corey, Mike, and my new friend David for lunch on Saturday at Toast, which was dee-licous. I have to send a SUPER BIG MEGA Thank You to David who hooked me up with an AMAZING gift for my amazing BFF Valerie... You ROCK dude!

That night Trent and I joined David and his friend Jamie for some fun dancing and crazyness at Akbar:
I felt like a freaky man giant... so yeah, typical Saturday night. :)
We had a blast! It was so fun. David and Jamie are hilarious and we all had a great time. Trent and I had the much-required 3:00am burger and fries at Mel's Drive In to top the night off... it was a great night! So much fun.

With that, I'm out - have a non-sucky week!
