Paco's, Fro-yo, and a boomerang
We had a big welcome back dinner for our everybody who just got back from international trips - Vince and Julie from Iceland (they are totally BFF's with Bjork now), Kirst from Aussieville, and me from Crazytown. Trent & Mike & Lisa came to attempt to make us look respectable - it didn't work.
Vince & Jules were amazingly coherent considering they had been flying for 22 (!!!!!!!!!!) Hours! I would have been a zombie, complete with the whole "braaaaaaaaaiinnnnnnnss" thing.
Ang and I of course brought out Stalker Eyes, which is really just a tradition now. That and we enjoy being creepy around others.
"I feel like... I'm being sneered at... what's... wrong.... where's my pepper spray?"
Ang looks like a supermodel in the headlights - I love it! I'm apparently intensely studying her perfect hair. "A lock of that would go great with some fava beans and a chianti!"
Mike got a hat from Trent - who unfortunately got a Tom Cruise sized hat. Tom Hanks size Trent, Tom Hanks. Come on.
Trent was dying for a real boomerang, which Kirst was happy to import (legally):
All I can say is, I am sure the first person he decapitates at least won't see it coming.
Kirst and her pet tiger! Really, Kirst, you are totally overworking the insanely cute LK angle. ;) I don't think the woman can take a bad photo!
Me on the other hand, I take LOTS of bad photos! It's like PooLander. We all have our gifts...

Kayaking in the Hood
And by hood, I mean beautiful multi gazillion dollar homes! I almost forgot to blog this... Aliah would kill me! Literally, it'd be like "Sorry, can't blog anymore, because I died.".
So I met up with Aliah and Gabe last weekend for some kayaking in Seal Beach... it was so fun! We had a blast. Basically you kayak in the ocean, but in a waveless canal area surrounded by bazillion dollar homes and huge yachts. Yeah, it's pretty cool. Good exercise too!
This surfer girl was paddling with a dog on the board, how cute is that? Not to mention they even had matching outfits! I thought I accidentally paddled into a Disney film for a minute.
This house looked like a castle. There weren't any crocs in the moat though, CHEAP!

Aliah and her friends who joined us nearly got run over by this boat! Luckily though the guy wasn't a bad boat driver, he was just drunk. Whew!
Hey cuz!
Aliah pointed out my thongs were wa-hay more stylish then hers.... I proceeded to tease her a bit. I think I called her cheapfeet.
Aliah got mad at me, and paddled towards that little round boat/spaceship you see ahead. She said she was going to "travel somewhere nice - where you don't exist". Oh honey, my blog is in space. Good luck.
Gabriel enjoying the sun - and peace and quiet without Aliah chattering about constantly. The poor guy....
KIDDING! Love you cuz! I have to give props to my cuz's, they basically lost a Nicole Ritchie between them over the last year - like 80 pounds!
I'm surrounded by wealth! HEEHEEE! Don't think I didn't look for some keys left in the ignition of some of those yachts...
Like this one. I swear I almost saw J Lo and her husband Marc Anthony on the boat! But it was just a girl with a big ass and Golem.
After we went out to an awesome fish restaurant that Aliah found and recommended.. which.... WASN'T OPEN! LOL! They were closed for renovations. I called Angela and Lisa who were meeting us there and calmly explained "Sorry, it's closed, we need to meet somewhere else.". Angela said back "Uhm... we are sitting there having a drink right now!" After about 3 minutes of "who... whaatttttttttttttt...." and lots of laughing, poor Aliah had given the wrong address. Her hair may be brown, but she's a blonde at heart ya'll. ;)
And yes, Mexican food... notice a theme?

The Bourne Danceoff
It's been a busy @$$ week! Wow! I haven't had any time to blog lately... so much going on! I have been up to a bunch of fun stuff lately, but I've also been swamped at the office. Oy! I guess it's summer!
So earlier in the week Mike and I had a great dinner at Basix cafe (dee-licious fish!) and headed over to Hamburger Mary's to play a little bingo... hosted by a drag queen and a hilarious MC! It was soooo funny. We were surrounded by screaming college co-eds, my eardrums were ringing! What a fun crowd. Whoever won had to take a run around the whole restaurant while everyone crumpled up their losing bingo tickets and chucked them towards the person! SO FUNNY! If two people won, they drew numbers, and the losing person would have to pick something from the "Bag of Crap" while everyone chanted at the top of their lungs: BAG OF CRAP! BAG OF CRAP!
So yeah, needless to say you pretty much laugh your ass off. I swear, there's just too much fun stuff to do here. It's amazing I find time to sleep. Every Wednesday they have a celeb judge call some numbers. Turns out it was Ross Mathews, aka Ross the Intern from the Tonight Show & The View, etc! Mike actually knew him (Mike never ceases to amaze) and we ended up meeting him after! So funny. And of course, silly me, I didn't bring my camera! Last Friday I met the lovely Lisa & Ang for my fav - Mexican food - and... well, a few margaritas. We chowed down and then I headed off to see The Bourne Ultimatum.
SO GOOD! I LOVED it! It's easily one of the best films I've seen all year! It and 300 are far and away my favs. It's so well done, acted, scripted, paced, shot, etc.
OMG HE'S GOT A GUN! ... ehr, wait, it's just Jason Bourne! The movie is badass! The car chase scene is easily one of the best ever. You are literally on your seat the whole time!
LOOK OUT JASON! OMG! IT'S HIGH! ... Yeah. So I saw it at The Bridge which I highly doubt I may return to... it's close, but half the damn theater was talking during in it. :( Some woman actually got in a fight during the film with two guys cuz she was yelling at the screen. Seriously people! Then as I was leaving there were two familes laden down with like 18 kids. I was like OH COME ON! It's after midnight! Where is my sterilization gun when I need it... Anywayz, on Saturday I got together with Paul, Trent, and Mike for some beachtime fun! We met at Manhattan Beach which is a great spot where they were hosting the AVP Volleyball Tournament. All the greats were there, and sadly I missed them! :( V-ball is one of the few sports I find entertaining to watch.
I didn't take photos of the tourney so just use your imagination. :) Here we are at the beach! After went out for some food and then on to dancing! Hit up a crappy place I won't even bother mentioning, but ended up landing at Akbar which is a super fun club. They were spinning a mix of stuff, primarily 80's. It's the bar I met Jane Lynch & Margaret Cho at, so naturally I had a predisposition to liking it! We ran into Zachary Quinto of Heroes there, so of course I saw my celeb for the weekend... Before we get into the photos, I warn you, I went for some new expressions.
Yeah, I dunno WTF I was thinking either. We were totally doing a dual extendo-arm-self-MySpace-pic thing here. How awesome is that? We R0xx0rz!
I think Mike is advertising beer here, and I'm quite possibly sheepish at leaving home WITHOUT my American Express. Tee-hee! How will I pay?
SCARY TOM CRUISE EYES! AAAHH COME HERE KATIE HOLMES! I WILL MAKE YOU LOVE ME WOMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! .... Sorry I got a lil carried away. How hilarious is this pic? We are a bunch of goofballs.
T-shizzle busts a move on the dancefloor! Doesn't this photo look like it was taken from a crane in the ceiling? Sadly, I just reached up. I think I made a little girl cry "Make the scary giant man go away! MOMMY".
I'm taking your pic! No... you are taking mine? BLAST! Foiled again!
I hereby volunteer this pic as an anti-booze Public Service Announcement. Or maybe an anti-crack announcement, you know it really could have a lot of uses. Mom must be so proud.
We had a blast, I'm so happy I've made so many cool friends here!
I have to give a special shout out to my beautiful wife Kirst who returned from Australia today, and who officially lives in one of the prettiest parts of the world:
She's a model, ya'll. Don't hate.
How disgustingly cute is this pic? I think she's seriously trying to take me on for supercute dog photos. That's it! I'm going home to win my title back! Bast, take a bath and get your shiniest collar ready!
See, even babies love LK! Oy! It's almost too much cuteness. If you are overwhelmed, just scroll back up for pictures of my drunk sweaty ass dancing to the oldies.
It's gonna be another busy week, lots going on and some fun stuff planned... I'm making a mental note to take my camera with me everywhere! Peace outtttttttttttttttttttttttttttt

A night worthy of a Hero(es)
So last night was freaking amazing... the utterly cool Trent invited Mike and I to come to the premiere of It's A Mall World at The Arclight. It was so much fun! I went celeb crazy. And I do mean crazy. Even more then normal. We were like a bunch of kids at Disneyland... I don't think 5 minutes went by where we weren't like "OMG! It's blah blah! OMG!". I was actually impressed by our collective movie and tv knowledge.
"It's Blah Blah! Last seen in the 2001 movie Bla blah Blah! Was married to blah blah for 3 years!" "OMG! Is blah blah with blah blah... blah? Slut." ;) We were like freaking IMDB live. All I can say is, I know who I'm taking with me to World Series of Pop Culture! We'd clean house!
Sexy mood lighting! Rowr! Unfortch my apparent clown face doesn't quite work... altho I did scare some kids.
This is the first (read: pre-alcohol) pic we took at the arclight Cinemarama dome. It's a cool theater!
Trent's shirt rules....
Mike's friend Lindsay was there, she was so nice and cool!

OK first celeb pic: Masi Oka, who plays Hiro!
I am gonna have to pace you guys here. There's a LOT to cover.
The afterparty was at the ultra cool (god, I need to stop using ultra, I'm seriously dating myself here... hi, stuck in the early 90's, party of 1, your table in the dark corner alone with the booze is available) Cabana Club in Hollywood! It's a very South Beach ish feeling place. Tons of free food (mall themed, of course) and drinks! Pretty much guaranteeing a good night at that point.
Zachary Quinto! He was so nice, I got to talk to him for a bit and he's a way cool guy. He was hilarious on So Notorious, the rarely seen show on VH1 so it's been great to see him propel his career into Heroes and now Spock in the new JJ Abrams Star Trek movie.
Fo shizzle T-Lizzle! And yes, Trent grew approximately 7 inches taller that night.
It's a Mall World, son!
I've thought Adrian Pasdar rocked ever since Profit on Fox, before they so cruelly canceled it (Damn you Fox!) He and Leonard Roberts (who plays DL) were so friendly, they asked our names and shook our hands. Adrian is married to the amazing Natalie Maines (lead singer of the Dixie Chicks), which makes them both that much cooler. I'm amazed I didn't drool on myself a little when talking to them.
OK, so maybe I did, but I'm fairly certain drool didn't actually REACH them. Jeeze.
Natalie was SO sweet and nice! And PRETTY! I saw her coming and did a deer in the headlights thing was like "Tr... Trentttt... Natalie Maines is walking towards us!" :O :O
She TOTALLY waived at him and walked over to say hi! She was so cool. You think I'm gushing now... you shoulda seen me last night! Thank God I learned to wear diapers from those astronauts that chase each other over state lines.
Hollywood parties are so funny. Everyone is always looking up to see if a bigger star is around or who's talking to who... and there are so many beautiful people it's sorta odd. Everyone was pretty nice though.
Trent spotted Mercedes McNab in the crowd and, I think, kinda gasped. I was oblivious (I had popcorn in my hand, you know popcorn = oblivious to all) and he pointed her out and I totally did a double take. She played Harmony on all 7 seasons of Buffy & Angel, and being an insanely huge fan, we bothered her for a photo. Luckily later in the night we saw her and Joleigh Fioreavanti again (they star in the new movie Hatchet, September 7th!) and got more photos. We took one nice one - for the kid's, ya'll. For the kids.
And a drunken crazy wild photo!
LOL! So awesome! I don't know if I'm cheering or or doing the "Choot choot" train sound and honking sign, but whatever, I got to hug Harmony so I am going to be happy for like a week. Joleigh kissed me too and so now we are totally going out. Or married. Or something. Maybe we'll do rehab together, I dunno, but it's serious.
Lights! Palm trees! Booze! Agents! Action!
Jack Coleman, who plays Mr. Bennett on the show, was really nice and I have to admit I was a little disappointed he didn't wear glasses. I'm a GEEEEK!
BTW I hope you noticed that I did indeed wear an American Eagle shirt. I felt that since they were paying for the night the least I could do was help advertise their effort. I am pretty sure all the Heroes thought I was some AE intern who slept/begged/bribed/cried my way into the premiere. "But Daddy, I don't want a pony, I want to meet the Heroes!"
Shane West! He was pretty cool, I have to say everyone was really nice to us.

And of course, the man of the night, the multi-talented and surprisingly down to earth and normal movie & television star, and now director - Milo Ventimiglia! He spoke to us for awhile before returning to hang with his Entourage - his parents who were there to support him! Say it with me... "Awwwwwww". I have no doubt he has a very long career ahead of him in Hollywood, he's a smart guy who, I am happy to report, wasn't doing lines of coke all night.
So all in all it was an amazing night, I got a ton of great celeb photos, had a blast hanging with Mike and Trent, who are some of the coolest people in LA, and overall just had a blast. I don't think it gets any better then this!
OOHH YES! P.S. There was a photo booth, if I could figure out a way to make a living embarrassing myself I totally would! You heard me Paris, I'm moving into your territory, bitch! Kisses!
